Roses and romance - and the June Magazine is out tomorrow!

Hi ,

June - the month of long twilight evenings, a time to sit in the garden and watch as the all the colours of the sky, which changes from bright blue, through the golds, oranges and crimson reds of sunset, fading into mauves and darkening to deepest blue by the time we go inside. But the nights are short now, and it'll only be a few hours until a pale strip of gold heralds the arrival of the dawn - but there's no chance for us to lie in bed as the chickens are impatient to get up and start their day! If we're even a little late letting them out, the hen house is full of muffled cluckings, rustling of feathers and indignant squawks as the restless birds bump into one another. Then, when the door is finally opened they shoot down the ramp at top speed, each one eager to be the first at the feeder!

There are chickens in the June Magazine too (more about that later), as well as decorating Daisy's Garden...

I fell in love with this rusty chicken ornament, and when it arrived I decided that it would look perfect on Daisy's Garden. (Daisy was one of my Newfoundland dogs) Her garden is just outside my blue shed and was her favourite spot for sitting and sunning herself. It is where we scattered her ashes after she died, nearly three years ago now.

But I digress.... back to the magazine.
